Yesterday was exciting. My youngest son and his fiancée had their social. In Manitoba, it’s a chance for family and friends to come together to provide financial assistance for the couple preparing to marry and have some fun. It was a lot of fun and some work. It felt good to come together for the benefit of these two young people at the beginning of their married life. Goodwill and cheer all around.
Now today it’s quiet, a south wind has ruffled up the Red River and we are all in our own homes. It’s fun to get together and fine to be alone.
I remember starting out and it’s amazing how the years fly by. My oldest son and his wife will have their second baby in the new year. Nothing stands still. (Except me, cause I’m on my couch blogging!).
Balance. One foot in front of the other. Cheers!
